Client Challenge

The Infrastructure Was Hyperscale. The Brand Wasn't.

Rowan Digital Infrastructure was founded with a clear mission: Build the hyperscale data center infrastructure that powers the technologies shaping modern life. In only a few short years, the company grew from a handful of employees to a team of more than 125, developed a portfolio exceeding 3.5 gigawatts, and earned the trust of some of the world’s most demanding technology operators. Recently, Blackstone purchased a 49% stake in the booming business. The business was moving fast. The brand was not.

Rowan’s existing identity had served its early chapter, but it no longer reflected the company’s scale, sophistication, or the weight of what it actually builds. Its messaging didn’t clearly articulate what made Rowan different from other data center developers, and it wasn’t tailored to the distinct audiences whose confidence Rowan needed most: hyperscale customers with exacting standards, communities evaluating a new neighbor, and investors looking for predictable returns.

The gap between who Rowan was and how Rowan showed up was widening. They needed a brand that could move at the speed of the business.

COHN Solution

Finding the Strategy Behind the Speed.

COHN began with deep discovery, conducting internal stakeholder interviews across leadership, business development, energy and sustainability, community engagement, finance and site origination teams to understand how Rowan actually works and what its people believe most passionately about the company. Competitive analysis followed, giving shape to the white space Rowan could credibly own.

From that foundation, COHN developed a complete brand strategy: four distinct USPs anchored by the pillars of Speed, Alignment, Accountability, and Ingenuity. Each pillar was documented not as a marketing slogan but as a substantive commitment grounded in how Rowan operates. A brand essence statement, internal manifesto, and external brand story unified the pillars into a coherent point of view.

With the strategy approved, COHN moved into creative, designing a refreshed visual identity, a new logo, website and internal Guiding Principles visuals.

Brand Style Guide

Client Results

A Brand and Website Ready for What's Next.

With strategy and identity in place, COHN turned to the digital expression of the new Rowan brand, leading a full redesign of the website to bring the brand story to life for every audience. The new site structures the Rowan narrative around its four pillars, communicates clearly across customer, community, and investor contexts, and presents the new visual identity at the scale and quality the brand demands. The site launches this summer.

The results go beyond aesthetics. Rowan now has a brand system built to scale with the company, a messaging framework that can flex across audiences without losing coherence, and a visual identity that its team is proud to put in front of the world’s most sophisticated technology builders. The client’s enthusiasm for the work has been consistent and clear throughout.

Rowan entered this engagement with a great business and an underpowered brand. They’re coming out with both.

“A massive thank you to our partners at COHN Marketing for helping our team turn visions and feelings into something tangible, unique, and scalable. I learned so much from this process and am excited about this new chapter for Rowan!”
