Way to Go wins national commuting award
Congratulations to COHN client (and smart commuting wizard) Way to Go on winning a 2017 Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) award for its schoolpool program.
For those not in transportation, the ACT is the leading national industry organization for commuting transportation. It “recognizes and honors outstanding achievements in the field of transportation demand management” with its National Award program.
The award recognizes Way to Go’s unique schoolpool program, which helps Denver-area parents get their kids to and from school for free through carpools. Way to Go won in the category of Commuting Options, which recognizes an exemplary program, policy, or service that advances one example of each of the following commuting options.
The national award is an incredible accomplishment, as Way to Go competed against individuals, public and private sector agencies, businesses, non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, business associations, transportation management associations and transportation providers.
What is Way to Go?
For those with inquisitive minds, Way to Go is a regional partnership between the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and a dedicated group of Transportation Management Associations (TMAs).
In a nutshell, Way to Go helps reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and make life better by offering real-life solutions to commuting problems.
If you’re a Denver resident and thinking, “I could use some help getting my kids to and from school,” check out the award-winning schoolpool program!
As Way to Go says, “thousands of other families are already connected…what are you waiting for? Just try it!”
