Things you might not know about Shari Spooner
Cities lived in:

l lived in Boca Raton, FL before moving to Littleton, CO and now currently live in Denver. I also lived in Sterling and Greeley CO while in college. My favorite place I ever lived was my summers in Caracas and Valencia, Venezuela where my mom’s side of my family is from.

What do you do in your spare time?

I have two young boys, and my husband and I love to be outdoors with them and going on adventures. We love to pack up our jeep and head up to the mountains for a hike. I love to cook and host our friends and family at our house whenever we get the chance.

Someday I plan to go to…

My husband and boys have never been to Venezuela and I want to show them the beautiful country that I got to visit when I was younger. Our dream place to visit is currently Japan! My boys won’t stop talking about going there to experience the food, the culture and everything it has to offer!

Unexpected fun fact:

I have zero fear of touching snakes, spiders and any creepy crawlies but I DON’T do butterflies… no way!

A big accomplishment:

When I worked at The Denver Post I was part of the team that won the Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Reporting. Although the story and coverage were all around the Aurora Theatre shootings in 2012, it was a point in my career that I learned so much and was part of the team that kept Colorado in the know with all the updates and latest. Being able to support the community and those directly affected by the events in Aurora was an honor.
