What We Read This Week – October 30, 2015

Sit back and read up on a few weekly tips and trends that we’ve spotted.

Love It or Hate It, Candy Corn Rules the Trick-or-Treat Bag
While candy corn may have been my favorite treat as an uneducated child, it’s simply not the case today. I’m not a fan. In fact, when my son was 10, he was squirming and fidgeting (way beyond the norm) in the front row at church one Sunday in late October. Exasperated, I leaned over and whispered, “did you eat anything before church?”. His proud response… “yup, a big handful of candy corn.” Ugh… candy corn may rule the Trick-or-Treat bag, but there’s a scary truth about red dye #40, and hyperactivity in kids is just one of them. Steer clear, friends, or suffer the consequences in the front row at church.

Inside Apple’s perfectionism machine
Always fascinating to get a little sneak peak into Apple and the people behind their success!

And more on Apple’s perfectionism machine… What I learned this week was just reinforcing what I already knew; that Apple’s way of conceiving, designing and building its products is great demonstration of perfectionism in the modern age. Mashable wrote a nice article (with awesome images) showcasing some examples on just how amazing Apple’s development and design are.
