RECon Social Media Pavilion
CLIENT CHALLENGE:
Introduce a brand new Social Media Pavilion at the International Council of Shopping Center’s (ICSC) 2011 RECon conference—the largest retail and real estate event in the country—that excites and educates the industry on social media marketing while building awareness of Cohn within a key vertical.
COHN SOLUTION:
Focusing on rich, relevant content, Cohn developed a Facebook tab to educate attendees about the new booth, created a series of educational presentations, designed booth branding incorporating a QR code contest and created a self-guided microsite showcasing best practical uses of social media within the industry.
REAL RESULTS:
Cohn’s Social Media Pavilion was the highest trafficked pavilion at RECon, with approximately 1,000 visitors and standing room only at all the presentations. Cohn bolstered its mailing list with strong industry contacts, received 3,645 Facebook tab views in two months and generated 5,500 unique opens with the launch email. Cohn also generated 15 solid new business leads, three of which have resulted in new clients for the company. Cohn has continued hosting the Social Media Pavilion at additional ICSC conferences across the country and has been asked to again host at the 2012 RECon.
